Henry Ernst Luhrs
Henry E. Luhrs (1901-1962) was the son-in-law of Martin Luther Beistle. Having married Beistle's daughter Pearl in 1927 he became President of the Beistle Company after Beistle's death in 1935 and his name is also listed on the "Unique Coin Holder" invented by his father-in-law.
Like his father-in-law, Luhrs became a prominent collector, numismatist and philanthropist. He hosted the first meeting of what would grow into the Shippensburg Historic Society. In numismatics he also focused on half dollars.
