The medal's obverse bears portrait of Webster, facing slight left. Around, · THE HALL OF FAME FOR GREAT AMERICANS ·  / · AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY · ; across, DANIEL - WEBSTER / 1782 - 1852; under truncation, 19 © 66

The reverse bears five men from all walks of life, from forest worker at left to businessman at right, looking up to angel bearing torch of enlightenment among stars at top. In center field, HIS / ELOQUENCE / WAS A BEACON / LIGHTING THE / WAY TO UNITY / FOR OUR / NATION; signed vertically at right, R · A · W · Sc ·

The circular medal comes in three variants, a large bronze measuring 74.3mm in diameter and two small medals in bronze and silver measuring 44mm in diameter.  No mintages are reported.
