Purpose

This page is intended to provide you with quick links to pages that organize medals by certain criteria, for example by the people that are shown on them or the organizations that issued them. Bold entries lead to sub-indices that help organize the index into a more useful hierarchy; Italicized entries represent aliases for other index entries.

Keyboard Navigation

As on all pages you can use SPACE to scroll down and Shift-SPACE to scroll up. Up and down arrows also work. In addition, you can use a single letter to scroll to the glossary section of terms starting with that letter.

Philatelic Show Medal
2017
by Victor David Brenner
Pin It...Create Flipcard...Contact Me...
Description

This uniface medal's obverse bears standing woman, cradling pallet in one arm and holding brushes and a winged trophy.  Around top right, PHILATELIC SHOW; igned at bottom right, V. D. Brenner

This is yet another slightly reworked restrike of Brenner's generic art award medal "Woman with a Pallet." It apparently still resonates with people as it did 100 years ago.

The circular medal measures 50.8mm in diameter and was struck in bronze by the Medallic Art Company. No mintage is reported.
