The paperweight's obverse bears two sculptures of native Americans on horseback as well as a monument at the bottom. Across, PRESENTED / TO / KARL T. KLOCK, JR. / OUR DISTINGUISHED GUEST / BY / KANSAS CITY MISSOURI / APRIL 10 - 1957
The reverse bears maker's mark GREEN K.C.
While certainly not one of the artistic highlights of American medallic art, this is the only heart-shaped medal I have in my collection. Just for that reason I wanted to include it here. I also found the life story of Karl T. Klock, which makes the medal more interesting, at least to me.
The paperweight was manufactured by Green of Kansas City. No mintage is reported.
