The uniface medallion bears bust of Elizabeth Robinson facing left. Around, ELIZABETH - ROBINSON; signed on truncation, P M
Elizabeth Robinson was the wife of Edward Robinson, the director at the Metropolitan Museum of Fine Arts.
This is a companion medallion to the one honoring her husband. Manship and his wife must have held her in high regard because their second daughter was named Elizabeth Robinson Manship.
The husband/wife medallions follow the tradition of husband and wife facing each other when viewed next to each other.
The circular medallion measures 95.2mm in diameter and was cast in bronze. No mintage is reported.
