The uniface medal's obverse bears a kneeling Native American, facing left, wearing feather headdress, balancing an open box on shoulder. Around, IOWA FIBER · BOX · COMPANY · KEOKUK, IOWA · TWENTY-FIFTH · ANNIVERSARY; in truncation, STRENGTH; to left and right of figure, 1920 / 1945; signed above figure's foot, CHAMBELLAN / Sc
The Iowa Fiberbox Company did not leave a large paper-trail behind, but as far as I can tell it was started in 1920 when Corydon Rich formed a box manufacturing company so he could ship Purity Oats that were also manufactured in Keokuk. He hired James O. Hoerner to sell the boxes to other companies so economies of scale could be exploited in the manufacturing process. The box business took off. In 1966, Hoerner Boxes, Inc., as it was called by then, merged with the Waldorf Paper Products Company. By 1994, after several more mergers and buyouts, the company employed 2,200 people and had annual revenue of about $375 million, making it the fifth-largest privately-held company in Minnesota.
This very handsome uniface medal comes screwed onto a wooden paperweight. It is beautifully modeled and has all the hallmarks of one of Chambellan's better commercial medals.
I again follow Dick Johnson's reference in dating the medal to 1944 in accordance with the Medallic Art Company's records, even though the medal commemorates the anniversary in 1945.
The circular medal measures 63mm in diameter and was struck in silver-plated bronze by the Medallic Art Company of New York. No mintage is reported.

The medal's obverse bears figure of Levi, facing, holding the Torah, fully lit menorah to his left, Aron Kodesh to his right. At upper left, LEVI
The reverse bears Star of David, symbols and names from all twelve medals. In center, THE / TWELVE / TRIBES OF / ISRAEL
Levi was Jacob's third-born and joined his brother Simeon in the destruction of the city of Shechem. The following quote accompanies this medal in the collector's box:
"Simeon and Levi are a pair; their weapons are tools of lawlessness... I will divide them in Jacob and scatter them in Israel."
The tribe of Levi became the scholars that expounded the Torah and rendered decisions through its teachings.
This is the third medal in Elizabeth Weistrop's Twelve Tribes of Israel series. The circular medal measures 43mm in diameter and was struck in bronze and silver by the Medallic Art Company of New York. No mintages are reported.

The medal's obverse bears bust of Frits Holm, facing right. Around, FRITS - HOLM; signed at bottom, ALBERT BRUCE-JOY FECIT MCMXXI
The reverse bears Chinese symbols around central field with beaded border. Inside, — DEN — / HOLM · NESTORIANSKE / EXPEDITION TIL SANFV /SHENSI N · V · KINA / MCMVII · VIII / TIL MINDE
Frits Holm (1881-1930) was a Danish scholar and adventurer who is best known for the his 1907 attempt to "obtain" the famous Nestorian Stele, an ancient Christian monument in Xi'an, China. When Chinese authorities learned of his expedition they moved the stele and he had an exact copy manufactured to not leave empty-handed.
The Metropolitan Museum of Fine Arts had the replica on loan for 10 years before George Leary, a wealthy New Yorker, bought it as a gift for the Pope.
The circular medal measures 64mm in diameter and was struck in bronze by the Medallic Art Company of New York. No mintage is reported.

The plaquette's obverse bears a moneyer producing a coin by striking a die with a hammer. Behind him, representations of rare medals from the ANS collection. Signed and dated at lower right, (JOV monogram / 83)
The reverse bears three panels, arranged vertically. In top panel, a screw press; in bottom panel, a Janvier pantographic lathe making a reduction of V. D. Brenner's Lincoln cent; in central panel at left, 1858; at right, 1983; in middle, THE AMERICAN / NUMISMATIC / SOCIETY / (oak leaf) / "parva ne pereant"
This medal was the 54th official issue of the American Numismatic Society in 1983. It was chosen by an ad-hoc committee which selected from designs submitted by seven different sculptors. Marcel Jovine won the design competition (and a cash award of $3,500) but his original design was rejected by some Council members due to male nudity.
Jovine submitted an alternative design that did not include the male nudity and that design was accepted, even though some members quibbled that the moneyer looked like he was going to hit himself rather than the die.
The plaquette was struck in bronze, silver and gold by Stefano Johnson of Italy. The mintage is reported as 2 pieces in gold, 100 in silver, and 500 in bronze. Originally, only 2 gold pieces were produced but Frank Bass' gold piece was lost and so a third piece was struck.

The medal's obverse bears corporate building with flag at top, scenes from corporate life in ring around small raised center field bearing roman numerals from VII to XII followed by I through VI arranged in old-fashioned, semi-circular floor display style, snowflake and flowers beneath.
The reverse bears legend only. Around, · QUALITY · RESPONSIBILITY · MUTUALITY · / EFFICIENCY · FREEDOM; in center field, IN / RECOGNITION / OF YOUR PERSONAL / CONTRIBUTION / TO OUR SUCCESS / (cartouche inscribed to John F. Bozzuffi / 15 Years) / (M&M / MARS logo)
My guess is that the centerfield represent a commitment to not let work intrude into private life. Work is represented by the roman numerals indicating the time from 7am to 6pm. Private life is symbolized by the snowflake and the flowers.
This is the 15 year service medal of M&M Mars. Like Goodyear many years earlier, they Mars chose different medal designs for different lengths of service or association.
The circular medal measures 76.3mm in idameter and was struck in bronze by the Medallic Art Company. No mintage is reported.
