The medal's obverse bears Merlin and knights watching Arthur drawing the sword from an anvil. On anvil, incuse EXCALIBUR; on building at left, signed JDL sc. with initials in script.
The reverse bears a mountaintop castle with six towers around keep; clouds behind. Below, CAMELOT.
While the Arthurian legend is very popular and has been told, retold, and re-retold many times, I have never been a fan of anything but the original and the most faithful renditions. This medal with its mythical castle and a somewhat stylized depiction of the crucial moment in Arthur's life does not talk to me like many of the other medals of the series do.
This design by Di Lorenzo was chosen as the 107th issue of the prestigious Society of Medalists series.
The medal measures 73mm in diameter and was produced by the Medallic Art Company of Danbury, Connecticut. Its reported mintage is 750 pieces in bronze and an unknown number of pieces in silver.

The uniface medal bears bust of Captain Arthur Rostron facing right. Around, S·S·TITANIC (laurel branch) APRIL·15·1912 (laurel branch) S·S·CARPATHIA / CAPTAIN · ROSTRON; signed to left and right of bust, © - SPICER·/SIMSON
The edge is marked with a faint "41"
On April 15, 1912, Arthur Henry Rostron (1869-1940) was a captain for the Cunard Line when his ship, the ocean liner RMS Carpathia, received a distress signal from the White Star liner RMS Titanic. The Titanic had struck an iceberg and was sinking rapidly. Rostron immediately ordered his ship to race for the sinking Titanic. His engineering crew coaxed the Carpathia's engines up to 17.5 knots, 3.5 knots over its rated speed. He took a huge risk racing through dense ice at night but he knew what was at stake when a major liner was sinking in freezing water in the middle of the Atlantic. In the 3.5 hours which it took to arrive at the Titanic's radioed position he gave 23 orders that would later prove to have saved lives. His crew prepared blankets, food and drinks and ended up rescuing 710 survivors from the freezing waters of the Atlantic.
Rostron was honored with the Congressional Gold Medal, the Thanks of Congress, the American Cross of Honor, and medals by the Liverpool and New York Shipwreck Societies. Rostron would eventually rise to the position of Commodore of the Cunard Line and served as a British Naval Officer during World War I.
The medal was privately commissioned by Titanic survivors Margaret Brown and Dennis Telluride.
The circular medal measures 51mm. Only 500 pieces were struck in bronze.

The plaque's obverse bears Goodyear flag over legend. Around upper half, THE · GREATEST · NAME · IN · RUBBER; across, 1898 / GOODYEAR / 50 / ANNIVERSARY / 1948
The reverse bears kneeling male figure, facing left, holding winged wheel in raised hands behind his head; Goodyear tire with logo by his feet; at cardinal points around medal are streamlined plane, car, train, and zeppelin. At upper left, FIFTY YEARS / DEVOTED TO / THE ADVANCE / MENT OF / TRANSPORT- / ATION; signed under tire at right, (RC monogram)
I don't know whether this quintessential art-deco design was ever realized. It is not part of Dick Johnson's reference and I have not seen it in metal. I received the images from John Ball, a Library Associate at the University of Akron. The University of Akron received a large portion of the Goodyear archives when the company stopped employing its own historian. Among the records was this design.

This plaquette's obverse bears shoulder-length portrait of George Bailey Hopson facing left with inscription in exergue, GEORGE . BAILEY . HOPSON . D. D.; signed at top right, V.D.Brenner
The reverse bears inscription at left with the "Well of Knowledge" at right and palm and laurel branches beneath, FOR / FIFTY YEARS / PROFESSOR / OF LATIN / AT ST. STEPHENS / COLLEGE / 1863 - 1913; signed at bottom right with (VDB monogram)
The plaquette celebrates George Bailey Hopson (1838-1916) who was born into a family of clergymen. His father was the rector at St. Machael's Church at Naugatuck and his great grandfather had been rector at the Christ Church of Derby, Connecticut. It came as no surprise that he also pursued the ministry and was ordained as a deacon in 1863. An accident forced him to give up his work and after recovering he accepted a position at St. Stephen's College in Annandale, New York. He would be teaching Latin there for the next fifty years and greatly influence two full generations of students in the Classics and Literature.
The rectangular plaquette was struck in bronze and measures 56mm x 77mm.

The obverse bears William and Rachel Allston walking in front of their Brookgreen Plantation home. Above, 1739 - WILLIAM ALLSTON - 1781 / PLANTATION OWNER; in exergue, BROOKGREEN GARDENS / SOUTH CAROLINA
The reverse bears Washington Allston seated at his easel, pallette and brush in hand. Around, 1779 WASHINGTON ALLSTON 1843 - DISTINGUISHED PAINTER
This was the eleventh of the prestigious Brookgreen Gardens member medals, issued in 1983. Overall, I find the design of this medal a bit static and wooden. It's not one of the strongest Brookgreen Gardens medals.
The circular medal measures 76mm in diameter and was struck in bronze by the Medallic Art Company. No mintage is reported.
